Good morning. Welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Saturday, January 11th 2025.  Today we join Gerard Bennett in Co. Westmeath, to lead us in our time of prayer this morning.

‘If you want to, you can cure me’

Gerard reflects: ‘And maybe in many ways, that’s where in our ordinary lives we have obstacles to our faith, maybe we’re not walking up to Jesus and asking that question, but maybe there are obstacles like that man’s riches that prevent us having that complete faith in Jesus. We know at one level, of course, he is always there for us. But our human frailty is what stops us from being able to fully accept that all that we need to do is to believe in Jesus. ‘
