Advent Reflections
As a celebration for Advent and the Christmas season this year we have decided to share with you a very short reflection slide for each day.
You will be sent a slide which will illustrate a quote from one of the readings of the day. Please use them in any way you find helpful. Our hope is that they can enable you to ponder the coming of the birth of Jesus and the impact of Christ in our lives and the lives of all. And that the slides will help you to reflect, pray or meditate during the day.
Christmas is such a busy time but person of Christ constantly whispers into our ears and hearts saying: “Come to me, all you who are burdened and I will give you rest”.
As a team we felt that there may be times when you may just feel the need to stop and ponder for a moment and as that saying goes: ‘find a quiet space where you can just allow your shoulders to relax and be for a while’.
Come to me, all you who are burdened and I will give you rest”.
Our hope is that the meditative slides will help to deepen your personal relationship with Christ as you prepare to meet him in a renewed way this Christmas.
The daily emails will begin Monday December 2nd and will take us through the Advent season and Christmastide. Br Michael’s Sunday reflection (usually sent on Fridays) will be sent on Sunday mornings during this time. If you wish, you can unsubscribe or resubscribe at any time.
Finally, thank you for your ongoing support of the Oblate Mission and please be assured of our ongoing prayers and good wishes.
Yours sincerely,
The Charism Team of the Partners in Mission Project
