Advent, a time of Hope: Daily Morning Prayer and Reflection, December 9th With Fr Irvin
Today is the feast day of Saint Juan Diego, the visionary of the Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.
We join Fr Irvin of St Mary’s, Star of the Sea in Leith for morning prayer.
We pray with John the Baptist that truth and justice may continue to prevail in our world.
We pray with San Juan Diego that our own sick relatives and friends too may be brought to healing and wholeness. And most of all, we pray for conversion of hearts.
“Jesus spoke to the crowds: ‘I tell you solemnly, of all the children born of women, a greater than John the Baptist has never been seen; yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is.” Matthew 11:11-15
