It was the 50th Anniversary celebrations of the English Martyrs Primary School. The Head teacher Ms. Bronagh Nugent did a fabulous job of organising past and present pupils and teachers to attend and also a well thought out liturgy.
The children’s choir were amazing! A beautiful missioning hymn on “proclaiming the good news to all the world” was sung in parts by the whole school!
Bishop Nicholas Hudson was present for the occasion. Fr. Oliver Barry OMI – our Anglo-Irish Provincial, Fr. Alex the Parish Priest, and Fr. Ray Warren, the Retreat Centre Director were also present. A wonderful buffet was organised back at the school after the mass and the children shared a few skits.
