Global Village Citizens – Sunday Sermon The Social Oblate
On this Mission Sunday, Fr Dominik offers an interesting reflection and food for thought for all of us, inspired by today’s second reading, and also, considering our own use of social media and how we use it as part of our own mission as christians to spread the Good News to those we meet online.

29th Sunday in Ordinary Time A(I)
“Global Village Citizens”
In the Second Reading this Sunday, taken form the First Letter to the Thessalonians we find a perfect simple instruction of how all our missionaries efforts should begin with: St. Paul starts with the greeting: “From Paul, Silvanus and Timothy, wishing you grace and peace!” Then he speaks of the Faith he puts in God: “We always mention you in our prayers and thank God for you all, and constantly remember before God.” Finally to end with that one assurance: “We know, brothers, that God loves you.”
May this, an example of St Paul writing to other Christians, be for us an example of how to approach others on our missionary journey. And like Him, let us deliver also that great message: that God loves you.
