Lourdes Day 2: Morning Prayer in the Sanctuary With Mary O’Brien
Friends, Day Two of our pilgrimage is upon us and we invite you to begin this day with a short morning prayer and reflection with Mary O’Brien of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage Team at the statue of the Crowned Virgin in the Sanctuary of Lourdes.
Our reflection today focuses on the gospel reading from our opening mass – two masters could be seen as something within ourselves – the two images of ourselves that we have, the one that is and the one that we put out to the world, the “perfect” version of ourselves. The master that we should be attending to is the imperfect version of ourselves, the one that God loves unconditionally. We look to Saint Bernadette as our example for this, let’s find this real person within ourselves.
We are overjoyed and feel very blessed to be back in Lourdes and we are keeping you all in our prayers.
“God alone suffices.” – Saint Teresa
