Morning Prayer 23rd September, Feast of St Pio of Pietrelcina With Chris Rolland in Leith
Good morning, we join Chris Rolland, a Parishioner from St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish in Leith, in Edinburgh. Chris is an Altar Server and a member of the Parish Pastoral Council. A warm welcome to our Oblate Morning Prayer this 23rd of September. And today we commemorate the Feast of St Padre Pio of Pietrelcina.
In today’s scripture, we hear how King Herod hears of the works of Jesus. Despite the matter that Jesus did not perform miracles to impress the surrounding people, the miracles were impressive indeed. They were so impressive that Herod learned about them. He was curious, those with whom Jesus was compared were also impressive…
