Morning Prayer Day Four – Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes February 2-11 With Fr Terry Murray OMI
Good morning friends, we join Fr Terry Murray OMI of the Oblate Parishes of Kilburn, London for our morning prayer on Day Four of our Novena. Today we reflect on the Flight of Joseph and Mary, along with the child Jesus, into Egypt.
Our Lady of Lourdes is patroness of the sick, so, in a particular way, we invite you to join us praying for those who are experiencing ill health of mind, spirit or body.
You may send in your prayer intentions to us – and, this year, for the first time since Covid began, a small team of our pilgrimage leadership will travel to Lourdes and take your petitions to Our Lady’s Shrine in Lourdes. Please send them by email to lourdes@oblates.ie by February 6th.
Thanks for joining us in prayer!
Novena Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes:
O Mary, who appeared to Bernadette in the hollow of a rock, in the depths of winter, you brought the warmth of a presence, the friendship of a smile, the light of grace.
In the depths of our lives so often insecure in the hollow of the world where there is evil, bring us hope and restore our confidence.
You who said to Bernadette, I am the Immaculate Conception, come to help us sinners. Give us the courage of conversion, the humility of penance and the perseverance of prayer.
We entrust to you who are our Lady of Good Help, all whom we carry in our hearts and our prayer, especially those who are sick and all those who have lost hope. You who guided Bernadette to discover the stream,
Guide us to your Son who is the source of eternal life who gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit, which helps us to call God, our Father.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
Saint Bernadette, pray for us.
Hail Mary…
