Morning Prayer, Feast of the Annunciation March 25th with Mary O’Brien
Dear friends, good morning, on this feast day of the Annunciation we invite you to join Mary O’Brien, a member of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage Team for our morning prayer.
As the first disciple of Christ, Mary shows us by her example that we must listen to and do God’s will. Living with a heart open to God’s will will always ask something of us. We usually have our own plans in our lives, but if we are open to God’s words we might know when we are being “nudged” by the Lord. Mary trusted in the will of God and we are invited to follow her example in doing the same. We can always call on Mary to help us to open our hearts and do the same.
“The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, so highly favoured! The Lord is with you.’” – Luke 1:26-38
