Morning Prayer for the Feast of the Ascension – May 18th With Kirk Jacob
Good morning everyone, and welcome to morning prayer with Kirk Jacob.
Today in gentle meditation, we ponder on the image of being present on the mountain with our risen Lord Jesus and the disciples, as he ascended into Heaven. What did that feel like for the disciples? Were their hearts really sad at Jesus’ departure? On the contrary, were their hearts able to hold up sadness along with renewed Easter joy, hope and expectation? The disciples’ experience could be likened to when we have got to taste the joys of a beautiful friendship.
Thank you for joining us in prayer today.
