Morning Prayer: May 24th, Fourth Day of the Novena for Vocations With Yanie, Ervin, Aira and Nicola
This morning, Monday May 24th, we celebrate the memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church, a feast day that Pope Francis inserted into the calendar in 2018, and is celebrated on the Monday following Pentecost Sunday. Today is the fourth day of our novena prayer and is led by a group of young people associated with the Oblate Parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea in Leith Edinburgh – Yanie, Ervin, Aira and Nicola.
In our reflection, we hear how praying the holy rosary is one way to honour our mother Mary and give glory to Jesus. Aira shares the importance of praying the holy rosary has been in her life, and encourages us to do them same, especially when we have fears and doubts. We pray that we too like Mary we may always be generous and responsive to God’s invitation to us for us to participate in his work.
