Morning Prayer: Sunday 17th October With Kirk and Aloy in England
We join with Kirk and Aloy in England for this morning’s prayer. Today’s gospel fills us with the sentiment of Holy Thursday, reminding us of the servant leadership of Jesus when he washes his disciples feet, bending to become servant of all servants. The gospel message can sometimes be challenging, and not easy to live or follow. Each of us are called to this servant leadership. St Eugene challenged us to “Leave nothing undared for the gospel. How can we respond to this challenge today?
“Anyone who wants to become great among you must be your servant, and anyone who wants to be first among you must be slave to all. For the Son of Man himself did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.’” – Mark 10:35-45
Thank you for joining us today.
