Morning Prayer, Sunday, August 16 With Fr Irvin Morastil OMI
With the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven being observed today in Scotland, England, and Wales, Fr Irvin Morastil OMI from the Oblate parish of Our Lady, Star of the Sea in Leith, outside Edinburgh, Scotland, continues his reflection on this great Feast. He shares with us his thoughts on the role of Mary in our salvation history as well as how Mary is the model and exemplar of our Christian faith. Fr Irvin reminds us that it was because of the Divine privilege shown to Mary that this Solemnity reminds us that the greatness Mary enjoys is solely because of her relationship with Christ.
