Morning Prayer, Sunday August 23 with Martin Moran OMI
This Sunday morning, we gather with Fr Martin Moran OMI from the Oblate parish of St Mary’s, Star of the Sea in Leith, outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. Martin invites us to reflect on today’s Gospel (Mt 16:13-20). And in this Gospel, we hear Jesus ask his disciples: “But you, who do you say that I am?”
Can I answer as Simon Peter did? “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.” And perhaps I might take this a step further to ask: “And who am I and who are you?” Do I have a deeper sense of who I am as a loved child of God?
