Morning Prayer, Sunday March 20th With Sr Joy Christine Elder in St Joseph’s Colwyn Bay
Today we invite you to join Sr Joy Christine Elder, of the Oblate Parish of St Joseph’s, Colwyn Bay, North Wales for our morning prayer on the 3rd Sunday of Lent.
Spring is a time of joy, hope and gratitude as we see the signs of new life appearing around us. In today’s scripture we hear the parable of the fig tree. What we could take from today’s reading that a tree cannot bear fruit if it is not given the right nourishment. Jesus taught beautifully about this in John’s gospel – “If you do not abide in me, you cannot bear fruit” and again “If you abide in me you will bear much fruit, fruit that will remain”. May Lent be a spiritually fruitful time for us.
We pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia
Thank you for praying with us.
