Join Theresa Codd from Birkenhead for Thursday’s Morning Prayer (July 8)

We join Theresa as she leads us in our Morning Prayer today. Theresa reads from today’s Gospel (Mt 10:7-15) in which Jesus instructs the Apostles as they set out on their missionary work. He instructs them to tell people that God’s kingdom is close at hand, to receive and give without charge, and to bless those who welcome them.

Theresa tells us that, as long as we speak in the name of Jesus, and not in our own name, that we too can bring God’s goodness to those around us, because the good we do is by God’s power alone.
