Morning Prayer: Tuesday 19th October With Jason
Friends, please join Jason of the Kairos Community Trust in London how he shares and reflects on the theme of service in today’s gospel.
“Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.”
In a busy world many of us can find waiting and patience difficult. Pressures of work family and other commitments. And distance oursleves from each other and God. We must pray for patience, for readiness and to be alert to the surprising ways that the Lord comes to us.
Kairos Community Trust are dedicated to helping homeless men and women with drug and alcohol problems, through abstinence-support hostel, rehab programmes and a network of 29 supported Move-on houses, most of which are in south London.
Thanks for joining us today for the Oblate Family Morning Prayer.
