Morning Prayer: Tuesday 5th October With Hamilton and Maya Grantham, Colwyn Bay
We join the Oblate parish of St Joseph’s, Colwyn Bay in North Wales for our morning prayer. Today’s prayer is presented by Hamilton Grantham and his daughter, Maya.
“But the Lord answered: ‘Martha, Martha,’ he said ‘you worry and fret about so many things, and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part; it is not to be taken from her.’” – Luke 10:38-42
There are two kinds of disciples, Mary, the welcoming one, listening to Jesus, reflecting on his words. And Martha, who is portrayed as practical, impulsive and short tempered.
Are we Mary or are we Martha? What kind of disciples are we? Discipleship is about belonging, about a lifestyle that reflects the reign of God.
Thanks for joining us this morning.
