Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Monday June 7th With Fr Michael O’Connor OMI
We join Fr Michael O’Connor OMI in the Oblate Parish of Darndale-Belcamp for the Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Monday June 7th.
Today’s first reading tells the story of the widow who gives food to Elijah. Fr Michael leads us in a reflection for widows and widowers who are very often forgotten people or discriminated against. He reads the poem “On the Death of the Beloved” a reflection by John O’Donoghue.
“Though we need to weep our loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts
Where no storm on night or pain can reach you.”
Thank you for joining us today.
