Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Monday November 27th With Kathy Barclay
Good morning friends, and thank you for joining us for prayer. This week, some of the parishioners of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Leith will lead us in our daily morning reflection and today we join Kathy Barclay once again in Edinburgh.
In the story of the widow’s mite, Jesus is praising a disposition of heart that holds nothing back in her faith life. By using the example of the rich people who are observed giving their surplus money to the Treasury, followed by the poverty stricken widow who put in just two coins, Jesus shows us what kind kind of heart he is seeking; the widow gave all she had to live on, and not just what was left over in her weekly budget, she gave it all. Let us ponder this morning about our own disposition. Do I give my whole heart to Jesus?
Thank you for joining us this morning.
