Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family, Monday October 10th With Ros Appleby
Dear friends, we join Ros in Birkenhead once more for morning prayer.
In today’s gospel we hear Jesus speak about the people of Ninevah who repented and turned their lives around to worship and serve the Lord their God again. Jesus says to them, ‘You’ve witnessed greater things before your own eyes, in your own time, and in your own place. Why didn’t you accept what you see in front of you?’ This sign is here, Lord, many times. How many times do I question what is happening to me?
Looking for signs here, there and everywhere in my life to point me in the right direction. Help me to turn back again in faith to you. Teach me to stop, look and listen to the grace of your holy Spirit to who you really are. God made man, the one sent by the Father, so that I too can recognise you.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
