Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Saturday 3rd September With Chris Rowlands
Good morning, everyone! Today, we invite you to join Chris Rowlands, from St. Mary’s Star of the Sea parish, in Leith, Edinburgh, for our morning prayer.
Today’s reading is from the Gospel of Luke. In it, Jesus is questioned by the Pharisees as to why his disciples are eating and drinking, instead of fasting. Jesus says there’s a time for fasting and a time for feasting. For the disciples, there is a time to be joyful in the presence of the Lord, but there will also be a time of fasting when he is gone.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
