Morning prayer with the Oblate Family – Sunday October 23rd With Fr Frank Ryan OMI
Good morning friends, this Mission Sunday we join Fr Frank in Colwyn Bay. As we approach the month of November it is good to remember and pray for all those gone before us. In a particular way we remember all those who dedicated their lives to the mission of Jesus.
This is the this morning’s letter of Saint Paul writing to his friend who accompanied him on his missions, Timothy, down the years.
You will find that he is preparing for his death and the passing of his legacy to generations to come. He writes in to his second letter to Timothy.
As Paul looked back on his life he would remember that at one stage he set out to persecute all the members of the early church that he could lay his hands on.
Past times were gone. He was reconciled to the Lord through his conversion. What about all those that he did kill? Where was the justice for them? That is something we give to God. And in His mercy, he embraces us all.
Thanks for joining us.
