Morning prayer with the Oblate Family – Thursday October 27th With Kirk Jacob
Good morning friends we join Kirk Jacob in London for prayer.
On reflecting upon today’s reading I couldn’t help but feel that Saint Paul was waging some deep battles as a soldier, both within and outside himself, especially in his soul.
He uses strong metaphors related to a soldier. We can draw much hope that we are are not alone when faced with physical and spiritual battles in our lives.
More and more people are facing the battle to budget their daily
living needs and be forced to make tough decisions that leave them dependent on the likes of food banks and charities.
We can draw consolation and confidence from Paul’s message today. He invites us to pray all the time. Asking for what we need. He reminds us to never get tired of staying awake, to pray for all the saints. And that includes all of us.
Many thanks for joining us this morning.
