Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Tuesday July 25th With Fr Liam Griffin OMI
Good morning. Welcome to our Time of Reflection and we join Fr Liam Griffin OMI. Liam is an Oblate of Mary Immaculate and the member of the provincial administration. Today we celebrate the feast of Saint James. James, the son of Zacchaeus and brother of John. And he is usually known as James the greatest. He was a fisherman’s and Capernaum, cold by Jesus. And the name is a popular one in the first century.
Again, it is the Hebrew for the name Jacob. St James has became something of his popularity in recent times, as we’ve discovered. He’s the pilgrim way to of Compostela again. He’s buried this. So as we gather together, it is just pause for a moment, thinking of our own backgrounds, our own particular situations, but at the same time reminding ourselves that God is ever present to us during this day.
