Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Monday of Easter Week, March 29th With Irene
We join Irene Darby in Wales for morning prayer on Monday of Holy Week. As we begin Holy week, we contemplate how the tragedy of Christ’s death leads to his triumphant Resurrection and in our own lives the possibility of new life and new hope following pain and trial. In today’s gospel, we hear how Mary demonstrates her deep faith in Jesus through action, service and prayer.
“Mary brought in a pound of very costly ointment, pure nard, and with it anointed the feet of Jesus, wiping them with her hair; the house was full of the scent of the ointment.”
