Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Saturday October 30th With Jarlath in Dublin
Friends, this morning we join Jarlath Kivlehan at the Oblate House of Retreat, Tyrconnell Road, Dublin. Jarlath is the Oblate finance administrator and is based in Dublin.
“But when you are invited – sit in the lowest place. So when the host comes he will say to you –‘Friend move up higher’ then you will be honoured in the presence of all sitting at the table with you’
For all who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” – Luke 14:1,7-11
Humble people are truly great people. They are genuine and real. They are able to relate well with others and with their God. We know from life that we can never relate to someone who is not real or who is a fake, two-faced, big-headed or self-centred. All that is required is to be – your real self, your genuine humble self.
Thanks for joining us this morning.
