Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Saturday September 4th With Mary Pratt in Tower Hill, London
Good morning everyone, today’s prayer is presented by Mary Pratt, a member of the Oblate Parish of English Martyrs, Tower Hill, in the heart of London City.
Plucking a blackberry without thinking, or, as the disciples did in today’s reading, some corn, is something we often did as children. Such actions could be seen as giving homage to God’s amazing creation. As Jesus describes himself as the ‘Lord of the Sabbath,’ He is inviting us to take time out to enjoy all that God has created and the beauty and wonder of His creation in the world around us.
“And he said to them, ‘The Son of Man is Lord of the sabbath.’” – Luke 6:1-5
We thank you for praying with us today.
