Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Sunday July 18th With Patsy Thomas
Dear friends, we apologise for the audio issues with this morning’s prayer – we have resolved those and now present to you today’s morning prayer albeit at a later time. Thank you for your understanding!
Today we find the apostles returning from the missionary works. Worn out and hungry, Jesus invites them to rest in a quiet place, but the crowds are there before them. Jesus pities the crowds, and does not send them away but instead sees their need and ministers to them, giving the apostles an important example of tenderness.
We think today of all those who have, like the apostles, given of them selves to those in need, so much so they don’t even have time to eat. We join Patsy Thomas once more for our morning prayer in Beaumaris, Wales.
