Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Sunday March 21st, 5th Sunday of Lent With Louise
Today we are joined by Louise Fitzgerald who works with Kairos Community Trust in London.
In the gospel reading, Jesus foretells the manner of his own death, speaking about a grain of wheat dying and then producing many seeds. The same patterns of loss and renewal can be seen in the changing of the seasons, giving us hope and a chance to begin again.
“Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” John 12:23
