Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Thursday May 6th With Fr Paul Horrocks OMI
Dear friends – we join Fr Paul once more for our morning prayer. In today’s very short gospel passage, the word, “love,” appears five times! There is so much to say about love. It is abundantly clear from the New Testament that love is all that matters – love of God and love of neighbour – this makes the whole New Testament simply a commentary on love and it can be helpful sometimes to understand a text, to ask what it is teaching about either love of God or love of neighbour.
“Jesus said to his disciples: ‘As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Remain in my love.'” John 15:9-11
