Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Tuesday of Easter Week, March 30th With Irene Darby
We join Irene Darby on the island of Anglesey for morning prayer. On Tuesday of Holy Week, we read in today’s scripture that Peter is told by Jesus that he will deny him three times. For various reasons we sometimes turn away from Jesus too, and Peter is a sign of hope for us all who want to follow and serve Jesus.
“Peter said to him, ‘Why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.’ ‘Lay down your life for me?’ answered Jesus. ‘I tell you most solemnly, before the cock crows you will have disowned me three times.” John 13:36-38
