Oblate Family Morning Prayer: July 15th With Wendy Spillane
Good morning everyone and welcome again to the Morning Prayer which is being led by members of St Joseph’s, Colwyn Bay an Oblate parish in North Wales.
Today we join Wendy Spillane once more for our time of prayer together.
The gospel of today is part of Jesus’ instructions to his followers as they set out in his name as his missionaries. Some of those who proclaim the gospel are going to be threatened, even with losing their lives, a fact which is testified by a long list of martyrs over the centuries.
Jesus is saying physical death is not the worst thing that could happen to a person – far worse is the loss of one’s soul, that is, the death of one’s integrity. He is also saying to us is that he will always be with us.
We hope you enjoy this morning’s prayer and thanks again for praying with us.
