Oblate Family Morning Prayer, Sunday February 13th With Christine on the island of Anglesey
Friends, we join Christine Hunt in Wales for morning prayer once again on Sunday February 13th.
Thank you for praying with us today.
Many of us have probably asked the question ‘why has mankind strayed from God?’ Many men and women go through their lives concerning themselves with everything other than God, yet man was created by God and for God. Jeremiah describes a world without God, a bleak picture, a cursed wilderness. However Jeremiah shows us a second picture, a life of fruitfulness if we trust in the Lord, put our confidence in him rather than trying to control everything ourselves, we should rest in him and not worry. Instead of living for the approval of others, we should rejoice that God is faithful to us and full of forgiveness.
“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose hope is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.”
