Oblate Morning Prayer, Sunday January 30th With Veronica in Scotland
Good morning friends.
We join Veronica Halloran in the Oblate Parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea in Leith Scotland for our Morning Prayer.
Jesus saw the need to spread the Good News to those outside his home town. In the same way, we have many missionaries often working far from their own homeland to spread the Good News. May we be inspired to move out of our comfort zone and to give help wherever it is needed.
But he replied, ‘No doubt you will quote me the saying, “Physician, heal yourself” and tell me, “We have heard all that happened in Capernaum, do the same here in your own countryside.”’
And he went on, ‘I tell you solemnly, no prophet is ever accepted in his own country. – Luke 4:21-30
Thank you for joining us this morning.
