Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join the Friends of Saint Eugene in Crewe for this morning’s time of prayer on Monday February 3rd. Today we continue the Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes.

‘Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!’

Margaret Hughes reflects: “When the man saw Jesus, the demons within him cried out in fear. This shows that even the greatest forces of evil recognize Jesus’s authority with just a word. Jesus commands the unclean spirits to leave. They are sent into a herd of pigs which rush down to the sea and drowned. This reminds us that Jesus has absolute power over darkness, no matter how hopeless a situation seems Jesus can set us free.”
