Good morning. We invite you to join Ros Appleby in Birkenhead, England once again for today’s morning prayer on Saturday January 4th 2025 during this season of Christmas.

‘We have found the Messiah’

Ros reflects: ‘Two of John’s disciples hear the Baptist’s declaration: “Look, there is a Lamb of God”, as Jesus goes past, they accept his invitation to “come and see”, and they stayed for the rest of that day. And one of them, Andrew, had decided to follow Jesus, and insists the next morning that his brother comes to see the Messiah, and he does. And Jesus says, Simon. Is to be called “Cephas”, meaning rock. And Peter’s life is changed forever. And the rest, as the gospel tells us, is history.’
