The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Sunday 17th December 2023 With Alexa
We invite you to join Alexa from the Kairos centre in London today’s prayer.
In a particular way, in this season of Advent – as we prepare to welcome the Christ-child, the reason for our hope – we pray for an increase in faith, hope and love throughout the world. We pray especially for healing and peace that is needed in so many parts of the world now and in our hearts and homes.
Today we reflect on the Magnificat, Marys’s reply. The literal meaning of Magnificat in Latin is ‘magnifies’, and the opening words of the hymn translate as ‘my soul magnifies the Lord’.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
