The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Sunday 17th March 2024 With Mossie Lyons
Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer during this time of Lent. We join Mossie Lyons from the Kairos Community in London, who brings us our morning prayer on Sunday 17th of March.
Gospel Luke 5:1-11
“Do not fear; from now on, you will be catching men.”
Mossie reflects: “The gospel that I have chosen this morning is from the reading for St Patrick’s Day itself, not the gospel of the mass. And the reason for this is that it’s an account of the call of the fishermen, Peter and his friends on the Lake of Galilee. And that reminded me that Patrick was called to serve the Lord on the hill of Slemish. And are both very ordinary places, both very ordinary people, fishermen and a shepherd boy called to service, called to be missionaries. And I was just wondering maybe if we could all pause for a moment now and reflect on the ordinary ness of our own lives and how these lives might be called into service by the Lord, “
Thank you for joining us today.
