The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday 11th January 2024 With Frankie MacDonald in Scotland
Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Frankie in Scotland for this morning’s time of prayer and reflection on today’s gospel: Jesus cures a man with leprosy.
This man was unable to earn a living and therefore unable to support his family because of this illness. He had no means of securing a cure, was relying, not on himself, but he was relying on charity. He must have had a horrific situation medically, socially and financially, separated from his family and friends and often segregated from both in a place very much different from what they would know as so is it any wonder that Jesus curing this man and transforming his life makes him want to tell the world?
Thank you for joining us today.
