The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday 14th December 2023 With Kirk in London
Good morning and welcome to this morning’s prayer. Today we join Kirk Jacob in Kilburn, London. Kirk works in Adult Faith Formation and is part of the Partners in Mission team and the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate (MAMI UK).
Today’s gospel reading is very apt for the times we are living in. The words that really hit home are, ‘Since John the Baptist came up to this present time, the Kingdom of Heaven has been subjected to violence and the violent are taking it by storm’, which speaks to us of the violence we are seeing on our planet at this time in so many places.
We pray for interfaith unity and an end to all violence as we go to Mary, or Miriam, as she is known in Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Thank you for joining us today.
