The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday 18th April 2024 With Sr Anne Petit
This morning we join Sr Anne Petit in London, England, for our Oblate Morning Prayer on Thursday 18th April 2024.
Gospel John 6:44-51 ©
I am the living bread which has come down from heaven
Sr Anne reflects: “Jesus tells us that He alone is the bread of life, which is a pledge of eternal life and nourishment for our daily journey, and one that will strengthen and help us all the time. Earthly food does not truly satisfy our hunger. Let us ask ourselves: do I really and truly believe that I am receiving Jesus, our Lord and God? It is a mystery that Jesus came on Earth for us and Jesus died for us, for you and for me, that we might live. He gave his life for us. Jesus gave us the sacrament of his body and blood to sustain and grace us.
Thank you, Jesus, for your presence with us, for your love that never fails.”
Enjoy the reflection this morning and thank you for joining us.
