The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday 7th December 2023 With Pádraig Corcoran
Good morning all, and welcome to morning prayer. We join Pádraig Corcoran in Dublin for today’s prayer. Pádraig is the director of Oblate Youth Ministry.
Two words always jump out from this gospel passage; the words “rock” and “sand”. It reminds us of something said by St Thomas More. Are our lives like our lives built on the rock, or are they built on sand?
Are they built on love or no? Jesus wrote wrongdoings in the sand. Well, that’s what we believe he did. We don’t know exactly what he wrote in the sand, but he wrote it in sand, he didn’t carve them rock.
Please God, today and for the rest of this day, and as much as we possibly can in our houses, in our homes and our lives, we can write the good things people do for us and the good things that we experience day in, day out in the rock.
We hope you enjoy today’s time of prayer, thank you for joining us and have a great day.
