The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Tuesday 31st December 2024 With Tom McClean in Colwyn Bay
Good morning and Merry Christmas, dear friends! We invite you to join Tom McClean for today’s morning prayer on New Year’s Eve – Tuesday December 31st 2024. This week, the members of the Parish of St Joseph’s, Colwyn Bay will lead us in our morning reflections.
Gospel | John 1:1-18 ©
“The Word was made flesh, and lived among us”
Tom reflects: ‘At the close of a year marked by challenges, conflicts and suffering we are called to meditate on the presence of Christ, who entered the troubled world to bring peace, hope and redemption. The passing of time, symbolised by December the 31st, is both an end and a beginning. We look back on the events of the past year with gratitude for God’s blessings and sorrow, for moments of pain and division. Even in the face of suffering, the gospel assures us that Christ’s light continues to shine. In Jesus. God entered into human history, becoming vulnerable so that we might know his love and peace.’
Thank you for joining us this morning.
