The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 10th January 2024 With Mary Tyrrell
Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. Today we join Mary Tyrrell in the Wirral, Liverpool.
Today we reflect on the Gospel of Mark 1:29-39
He cast out devils and cured many who were suffering from disease
Mary reflects: “I think this episode brings up for us the importance of our own ability. Yes, we do need to be available to all those who are genuinely in need and to seek help at the same time as what we might call today, the poverty of availability. No matter how generous and self-giving we are, we can give only so much. We need to find a balance between people’s needs and our own into resources.”
Thank you for joining us today.
