The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 13th December 2023 With Kirk Jacob in Kilburn
Good morning and welcome to this mornings prayer. Today we join Kirk Jacob in Kilburn, London. Kirk works in Adult Faith Formation and is part of the Partners in Mission team and the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate (MAMI UK).
Here in Kilburn, London, we are just starting to grapple with much grief at the sudden death of our Oblate brother in Christ, Terry Murray, only 61 years old and he died a few days ago on an Oblate feast day of the 8th of December. And we also heard in Inchicore that another Oblate, Fr Des O’Donnell, had also died and, coincidently, the same Marian feast day.
Maybe there is someone or some ongoing tragic situation like in Gaza, Israel, Ukraine, where you’re also deeply grieving in your hearts at this time at the huge loss of life. We bring that special person or persons or situation to the Lord who knows our thoughts, our feelings, and the way we are now.
Thank you for joining us today.
