The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 1st May 2024 With Br Michael Moore OMI
Good morning dear friends.
This morning, we join Br Michael Moore OMI from the Chapel at the Oblate Retreat Centre, Crewe for our Oblate Morning Prayer on Wednesday May 1st, Feast of Saint Joseph the worker.
Gospel Matthew 1:18-25 ©
The Birth of Jesus Christ
Br Michael reflects: “Can we follow Joseph’s fateful response and carry out whatever God is asking us to do today? When we feel a little unsure, or worried or anxious, may we hear the words that both Mary and Joseph heard: Do not be afraid. I call you by your name. You are mine.
Mary is patroness of the Oblate congregation. Joseph is protector of the congregation and as patron of our Oblate brothers, we ask Joseph, the worker, to guide, lead, protect and inspire each of us.”
Enjoy the reflection this morning and thank you for joining us.
