The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday of Holy Week, 27th March 2024 With Rosemary Gillon in Leith
Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer during this time of Holy Week. We join Rosemary Gillon from the Oblate Parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Leith, who brings us our morning prayer on Tuesday of Holy Week, 27th March 2024.
Gospel Matthew 26:14-25 ©
‘The Son of Man is going to his fate, as the scriptures say he will’
Rosemary reflects: “Today has got several names. Some people call it “Good Wednesday”, Black Wednesday or Silent Wednesday. But for me, it has always been Spy Wednesday. And the spy who kept watch on Jesus and betrayed him to the chief peace was Judas. He was the one who told them that he would be in the garden of Gethsemane…”
Thank you for joining us today.
