Feast of Saint Martha: Daily Prayer Thursday July 29th With Irene in Wales
Good morning everyone! We join Irene on the Island of Anglesey in Wales for morning prayer.
Today is the feast day of Saint Martha, who is only mentioned 3 times in the bible. In this morning’s reading we see the depth of Martha’s faith: “I know whatever you ask of God will be granted.” She also has hope in that Jesus will help Lazarus. Today, faith and hope have been called the forgotten virtue of our age. These precious gifts are all too often under used. She asks that we let him help us when we are powerless to help ourselves.
Thank you for joining us this morning!
