Join Frankie MacDonald for Morning Prayer on August 18th Oblate morning prayer
Dear friends, good morning and welcome to today’s morning prayer on Thursday August 18th. We invite you to join Frankie MacDonald in Scotland for a few moments of prayer and reflection together.
Today’s parable of the wedding feasts and the guests was relevant to its time and context. What’s important to take out of this reading is to try and respond to God’s call positively. God is calling us good and bad alike, regardless of our station in life, to be the best version of ourselves and to be open to God, and by our actions, be worthy of God’s invitation.
“Jesus answered again and spoke in parables to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding feast for his son, he sent his servants to all of those who were invited but they would not come.” – Matthew 22 1
Thank you for joining us this morning.
